The Challenge: Designing for a 3-sided 40' display with no playback until the client review! Planning out the assets and movement in advance was vital. A viewer could only see 1 or 2 sides at time.
My task was to educate teams of 10-15 students to design an display for the user experience. Time frame was 8 weeks from start to final sign-off.
This was repeated 3-4 times a year and displays were designed to reflect the shopping seasons.
Software used: Photoshop, Maya & AfterEffects.
Photoshop file set up. The key was to only plan on 1/3 - 2/3 of the image in design. Also we had to seamlessly match up the large low res areas to the smaller high resolution screens.
